BA (2012) in Musicology at the University of Vienna; “Diplomstudium” (2011–2017, degree roughly equals an MA) in Composition and Music Theory at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Theory with Prof. Gesine Schröder), research assistant (2013–2015) at the Department of Analysis, Theory and History of Music at the latter institution; exchange student (acad. year 2015–2016) in the MA/PhD program in Theory at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y.; currently working on MA Thesis “Towards a theory of musical repetition in recent Western ‘art’ music”. Research interests: Analysis of contemporary and popular musics (and their stylistic interactions), history of music theory, meter/rhythm.
