Richard Devore is Associate Professor of Music Theory at Kent State University, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in musicianship, analysis, historical music theory, and American music. He has presented papers at a variety of national and international conferences, including the International Medieval Congress, Society for American Music, International Conference on Music Perception and Cognition, and Society for Music Theory, and has published articles in such journals as Theoria, Indiana Theory Review, and the Journal of Music Theory Pedagogy. He is also active as a collaborative pianist and choral accompanist.
